Part 3 of our new series on raising rabbits. This series has been in the works for six months as we have tried to capture video of kits at various ages and stages of growth. This new series is about raising rabbits for MEAT, ie, to EAT. Be forewarned that we will discuss rabbit raising in that format and later videos will show some butchering – with a warning before it actually comes up. So for the PETA crowd, men of the other gender and the “we won’t eat anything with eyes” crowd, you’ll probably want to skip these videos. As some of you know I’ve been having a heckuva time uploading files lately. I had to go with a non high def version here just to get it uploaded, so please save the “the camera sucks” comments I’ve tried numerous file types, next I’m gonna try a new editor perhaps….. Thanks for watching and please bear with us on the lower quality video, it is FREE after all. Be sure to check out our new online message board at www.survivalandpreparedness.com
Baby wild bunny eats a three leaf clover. Bunny will be released back to the wild. I’m a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. These are probably the last eating shots because bunny is getting wild and ready for release. Animal Advocates, Mary Cummins, www.AnimalAdvocates.us
next summer, my family is going on vacation and we’re not taking our two rabbits with us. we’re planning to drop them off at the vet for the time that we’re gone (4-5 weeks)
I’m planning on getting a baby rabbit soon. This is my first time rabbit i have had a few hamsters and Guinea pigs. Anyways i looking for a calm but playful rabbit. I looking towards small-medium. It must be ok with dogs because i also have 3 dogs. I will be at school for around 7:00-3:00. But after school i have allot of time on my hands. The bunny will get out of its cage allot. Typically the bunny will be out at 3:00pm to when i go to bed and who know when that is. I would like the bunny to be easily litter trained. And with the cage i don’t really know whats a good size cage for a small to medium bunny.
I’m getting two rabbits. At the moment they’re 3 or 4 months old, and they’re already about the size of an adult dwarf rabbit. Their mother was a Flemish Giant/Holland Lop mix, and their father was a purebred Flemish Giant. How big can I expect them to get?
I am within weeks of getting one I already know what breed I want and that is a Holland Lop I am going to get a cage but also get a playpen or pet gates so I can have it outside of the cage most of the time and let it free roam but before I let it do that I want to know what is the best way to teach it to go pottie where it should
I was wondering, are rabbits social, and do they like to make other rabbit friends.
Cause I was thinking, I wonder if anyone would ever have kinda like play dates with rabbits.
Like, would rabbits be OK to take to another rabbit owners house and let them play and run around in a room?
If you went to one rabbit’s house for one hour would the rabbits go socialize and play, or would they hide and be shy?
