Are rabbits good on a scheduled diet?

in Rabbit Diet and Nutrition

I have 2 cats and a dog and they are all on a scheduled feeding so I thought why not do it to my bunny. My cats and dog learned quickly as to when the food was coming but will my bunny know and get excited when it is close to feeding time or will he just know hes hungry and doesn’t know when he will ever eat again?

How will I switch him to a scheduled feeding?
Will he accept the change?
Will he starve?
How many times a day should I feed him?

Rabbits need to have a certain amounts of pellets given a day, but they have to have unlimited hay given all the time. Read the website below and it tells you all about their nutrition.

You can feed once a day. I fed all mine usually in the evening. They knew when it was time to eat. Good luck.

Yes. Rabbits should not be offered unlimited pellets once they reach sexual maturity because this will cause them to become fat. They need a limited amount of pellets (generally a few tablespoons per day) but they can have unlimited grass hay (such as timothy) and one or two large handfuls of fresh dark leafy greens. They won’t starve, if they are hungry the will eat the hay. And they will quickly learn to anticipate when the pellets come, just like cats and dogs.
