Cadbury the Cottontail Rabbit – 3 Months Old

Cadbury is now 3 months old (as of 13 Aug 2010) and is still doing great. He enjoys his play time and is getting along with one of our cats who is starting to play with him a little bit. Before long I’m sure Cadbury will be in charge, though! Nothing too exciting in this video, as it mostly just shows how much he has grown in the last 2 months.

Nika with the with the cotton tail baby rabbit. The mother makes a nest near the A/C every single year, this year was not an exception. Since our older dog has a high prey drive, we keep her away from the nest. Nika on the other hand checks on the babies daily.

New England Cottontail Rabbit

20 seconds of rabbit. It took me 15 hours of searching to get this little bit of footage of a New England Cottontail Rabbit. These little guys are listed as endangered in New Hampshire and Maine and probably should be federally listed. I found this guy at Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
