I am going to breed rabbits, and I already have a 3 year old lion haired rabbit (male). I want to buy a female to breed with my lion haired, but i don’t want to get a 3 year old female. Does the buck have to be younger than the doe?

No the buck can be older, the girl has to be at least 7months of age but i think the buck can bread untill it can’t mate, just like human men, but the does (girls) can only bread untill 4years i think. The girl has to be mated before she is one year old other wise she wont be able to give birth. I am trying to bread rabbits too. Her first litter might all die, that is normal. good luck,

No, bucks can breed up until they day they die. Does can be younger and a 3 year old doe who has never been bred should not be bred at all.
Please only consider breeding rabbits if both rabbits are the same breed, and have pedigrees. Otherwise you are just producing rabbits that will be unwanted.
The best thing to do is find a Lionhead doe who is either 6-7 months old and ready to be bred for the first time or a doe that has had 1 litter and is not over a year old.
They is no such thing as a lion haired rabbit they are called Lionhead
