Lexi and CLouseau are due any day… see this great film of them preparing their nests for their litters. Rabbits have only 28-32 gestational periods. These girls got their nestboxes on day 26 and were ferociously building their nests as fast as they could. We at My Little Sweetie Rabbitry are so excited to see their babies any day now.

First breeding rabbits does not make any money and the people that breed lose more money then they will ever get from the rabbits. Second we have to breed because if we dont then all these wonderful breeds that have been around for so long will be lost.
Actually, the only rabbit I’ve ever had with feet issues is the one that lives in my house. The flat surface of the tile and the rough carpet have worn away the fur on his little paws. I usually have wood resting boards and mighty mats in the cages, but when I filmed this I had just taken them out to make room for the nestboxes.

And, No, money isn’t everything which is why it’s a good thing I don’t breed my bunnies to make money.
Yeah be careful with those wire cages, I had a bunny who’s toe actually got stuck in the wire and ended up cutting it and then got infected =(
Wire cage hurt their paws, breeding is not the solution to bunny over population.
