Here’s Flynn with Dulcinea the dwarf lop bunny. Dulcie was rescued from a charity called Prevent Unwanted Pets to keep my other rabbit Frank company (they are both neutered so no babies). Frank was an all too common story for a rabbit and the reason thousands are in rescues all over the UK – he was a child’s Easter present, they were bored by him in less than a month and he sat for months alone in a tiny hutch only fed and cleaned occasionally. Please don’t buy a rabbit for your kids unless you are prepared to pay for spaying/neutering and will feed, clean and pay for vaccinations for the next 10-12 years. Get them a soft toy one as that won’t die once the novelty wears off and they can’t be bothered. Real rabbits the company of their own species (most definitely not guinea pigs) and quite a lot of maintainance.
