How can I get the dried poop off of my rabbits?

in Questions about Rabbits

I have two baby rabbits. They’re only one month old and one day. They have poop stuck to them both! I don’t know how I can get this off. Can anyone help me? Should I brush it off? Should I wet it and take it off? Should I just rip it off? How can I take this off? They are still pooping because I can see that. : ) Going to the veterinarian would be a last-resort-kind-of-thing. Thank you, in advance, for answering.

Hi my name is: ANIMAL 12.13.09 at 5:17 am

When I got my rabbit he had poop ground into his hair so I took a warm damp (not wet) washcloth and worked the poo loose enough that I could brush it out.

Okay when I was little I had a lot of rabbits whom kept multiplying soooo I think the easiest thing you can do without actually messing with them too much is getting a small wash cloth and some q-tips with warm water and baby shampoo like johnson’s cause that poop is probably really stuck on them You can try to use just warm water first and see what happens .. drape the dry wash cloth over the bunny without covering its head just so you can grab it and dip the q-tip or cotton ball into the warm water and easily wash it off. I wouldnt get them too wet cause they are still very young and I wouldnt be handling them with bare hands cause people say the mother will disown the baby if you handle them too much.. which I have never experienced but you never know.
When our rabbits had babies the babies were always clean the mother should be licking them and cleaning them unless they are in constant mess.
Or you could just leave them alone and see if the mother cleans them at all … how long has the poop been stuck to them. I seriously would doubt the mother would leave them dirty for long! but who knows we can all run into different situations!!
Well good luck
