Hi I just got a rabbit and I bought this food called Oxbow/T, It is made of timothy hay based pellets. It says that it is for adult rabbits so do you think it is fine if I feed it to my 8 week old rabbit? I am not sure. What do you think?

I think it must be OK unless maybe it came from China. The bunny (Bunelope is her name) in our house eats pellets but it says nothing more on the bag than "complete nutrition". I have to eat an apple every morning so I can feed her the peel, which she seems to love. She eats carrots too. I think some fresh greens would be appreciated also. However, I think a bunny can survive just fine on the pellets. I think most do. Any other treats are just that – treats. Make sure it has water at all times too, a clean cage (I am paid $5 a week to clean the cage twice a week because the owner is too lazy) and a little loving once in a while.

It’s not recommended.
See, adult pellets are made of Timothy hay. Baby rabbits’ pellets are made of Alfalfa hay, which has more calories. They can have a bit of the timothy pellets in with the alfalfa pellets, but you definitely should have alfalfa pellets for your bunny.

No. Buy the Alfalfa based one because your bunny is not an adult yet.
