I know you feed them timothy hay and pellets in the pet store, but what would be some fruits or veggies that I could give him? I know their diet is strict so what is something good that he will like and won’t slowly kill him or hurt him. 10 points!!
My rabbit died yesterday and i want to know what happened. Where did i go wrong? I took her to the vet 2 days ago and she had no fever and they did a fecal test and found no parasites. Here are her symptoms: Not eating (anything) not drinking, not jumping around ( she is usually a very active rabbit), she had diarreah and i was feeding her crushed up hay and pellents through a syringe. She wouldn’t even swallow it. The vet gave me some antibiotics and told me to keep trying to give her hay and water and i tried but she wouldn’t swallow it. It would just sit there in her mouth. She was also shedding alot( but i had only had here for three months so i dont know if that was her normal amont to shed). I read somewhere that changing a rabbits diet can kill them. Is this true.a month ago i switched the brand of pellent food. I kept the same hay and gave her plenty of it along with veggies and fruits. Could that have been why she died? I changed her food a month ago,i thought she had adjusted
when i took her to the vet they said she was very skinny. I think she might have starved to death, but she wasnt eating anything. I even just tried to tempt her with her treats but she would go in the coner of the room and just sit there hunnched over. I rubbed her belly and tried to make her as copmfy as possible. I just want to know what i did wrong.
i don’t think she died of old age. She would have been one year old this january. My vet does do some exotic animal such as rabbits, rats, gerbils, and hampsters.
