Territorial Bunny Rabbit

in Dwarf Rabbits

PLEASE READ: Since there have been a few comments about improper handling of the bunny, I feel this is something I need to address. The way Ronnie was picked up and carried in this video is NOT the correct way to handle a rabbit. Rabbits should be held close and have their back legs/bum supported at the same time. When I filmed this video, Ronnie had a sprained ankle and we were hesitant to support his back legs for fear of hurting him. We would not normally carry a bunny this way. I …

Wonderful videos, thanks so much! I laughed myself sick listening to “The Last Dragon.” I haven’t seen or thought about that movie in years, but now I’ll go rent it and think fondly of Billy and Ronnie. Thanks again!

Can’t wait until I can pick up my Netherland Dwarf buck and have him as calm as Ronnie was!

Pete is so skittish, still. :X

Your Ronnie looks like my Lucky ^^

Perfect! As you said people have posted things about the handling of the bunny, i think it was fine, if he had a injured ankle, he had a injured ankle and needed to be held a way were it would not hurt him. You were doing a fine job. :) Anyone who thinks you were not, must have something terribly wrong with them.

penguinopolipitese 11.27.09 at 12:01 am

he seemed pretty ok with being held that way…

Don’t mind what anyone says, you take excellent care of both your bunnies. I really enjoy watching Billy and Ronnie. Netherland dwarf rabbits have wonderful personalities. If only all bunny owners could be as good as you.
Thank you for the super videos.

The Last Dragon ROCKS!!!!!! I was laughing so hard! Did you hear they are remaking that movie? Samuel L. Jackson will be Sho-Nuff. Sniff. I will miss the old one!

Very nice video, and it’s easy to see you love your bunnies and take excellent care of them. Give them a little pat for me! Thanks for sharing these adorable buns! :-)

Addicted2Yaoi 11.27.09 at 12:01 am

hi, btw is ronnie a silver fox? My Rini is a silverfox xross and she looks just like him :) . Shes really territorial it would seem aswell as she doesnt like you putting your hand in her cage close to her… shes been spayed so i really dont know why she does it :\ cute bunnies tho :)

its ok to hold a rabbit like that if your just putting him in another room. Going up and down stairs i can understand but 10 feet come on people.

spekkioxlv 11.27.09 at 12:01 am

Thanks for your comment. I will go ahead and add to the video description to clear this up! :)

Hello, no need to send 8 of the same comment…one will suffice. You’re correct, that is not the right way to hold a bunny. However, Ronnie had a sprained ankle at the time and we did not want to risk hurting him by putting pressure on the injured leg. We do not normally carry our bunnies this way.

runescape4344 11.27.09 at 12:01 am

that’s not how you hold a bunny
