I don't understand why would anyone keep a crocodile at their house who only eat humans for example, or a a shark at their pool or something. There are limits to morals that humans sustain themselves, in my opinion, and one of them is to keep safe, most of the time friendly to people themselves pets around! Now some people go to such extremes as keeping snakes that only eat cute bunnies and rabbits. How horrible is that? I've made some research and found out that most of such people are either pagan or believe in witch craft and crup like that… Yak! Wake up people…
erik69311 for your information I don't eat meat. I only eat fish and NOT ALIVE!

Circle of life.
Oh, and not all snake owners are pagan or into witch craft….get your research right.
That must be one fricken' big snake!!!!!
But that is horrible, but that is what comes with a snake. That's the only reason that i don't own one, i don't think i could sleep at night knowing that i was feeding it live animals. yuck!!
Get a grip man! There are other things to worry about.
crocodiles eat only humans? Snakes need to eat too..or do we starve them? I think your research is flawed.
This is so ludicrous I don't know why I am bothering to answer.
What do I think of people who feed rabbits to their snakes? I think they have researched their pet very well, and are feeding it what it needs in order for it to stay alive and healthy.
I don't know what type of "research" you have done, but snake owners (even the kind that feed rabbits to their snakes) are not any particular religion. Some of my friends who keep snakes are Christian, some are Pagan, one is Jewish.
You are the one who needs to wake up! Your so-called "research" is offensive to both snake owners and to Pagans!
Wow, thats some research! People feed snakes rabbits because well snakes need to eat and it just so happens that they think rabbits are rather tasty. I personally feed my snake "cute" mice and baby rats. When it gets older i can only assume he will be eating rabbits. Have you ever eaten a hamburger? because i think cows are kinda cute.
BTW Rabbit actually does taste pretty good.
1) Snakes have to eat – they eat in the wild, they eat in captivity, and they eat meat – alive.
2) Think about this, dwarf rabbits can pass a double dwarf gene to their offspring which cause them to be premature when born. Because they aren't developed, the babies can not get any nutrition from their mother's milk, and therefore starve to death unless they are put down before that. Now think about snakes who need food to survive. If one can benifit the other, what is wrong about that?
Sure there might be people who are wierd and like watching snakes eat bunnies, but the fact is that any snake owner, regardless of religion is going to have to feed it's snake. Quite frankly, I'm scared to death of snakes, but I find it very fascinating to watch how they are designed to hunt prey.
*Pinch self* Am awake! Proud Pagan I have 3 dogs, 5 cats, 2 rats, and several birds and fish. No snakes! (is it just me or is your research alittle biased) You do have me on one thing my cats and dogs do eat cute furry bunnies and so do I! They still sell lamb at my grocery store for $14/lb. How cute are little fuzzy lambs? (lamb and rice dog food any one?) All I can say for certain is that my food is treated respectfully while it is being raised and is swiftly and humanely dispatched when it is time to put it on the grill.
Well the snake has to eat doesn't it? And if it's too big that rats won't do the job, then it needs something bigger. It's how nature works, get over yourself.
And not all snake owners are Pagan. And I'm sorry you are so ignorant about that segment of society.
Most of the snake owners I know don't feed their snakes anything larger than a mouse or rat. Rabbits are a bit… big for most snakes.
And none of the Pagans I know keep snakes.
