I would definitely suggest making your own. They are very expensive in the stores and only a few are of good quality. It may depend if your bun is going to be indoors or outdoors.
If indoors, I would suggest making one out of metal organizers you buy from Target. Check out the following link http://breyfamily.net/bunnycage.html
This cage is cheap and easy. I made one for my bun in my walk in closet and he loves it!
If you are going to keep your bunny outdoors, then maybe try making something like the following link:

This cage would be make an awesome outdoor hutch, but may take a little building expertise.
Overall, if you have the time, you will definitely save money by building your own cage and you can give the new member of your family the home it deserves. Good luck with your new bunny!!

It's better to build your own. The commercially available ones that are large enough are very expensive. I use, for my indoor rabbits, a puppy play pen set into a base I made myself of two by fours, plywood, and peel and stick vinyl flooring. For outdoors, you will need something with a roof.

It would be cheaper to build your self, and you could build a bigger one than the shops sell
